You have to join the Gakuran group on Roblox before the experience will load — that single requirement is behind most "why can't I play" and "you must be in the group" reports. Join the group, then relaunch. The experience itself is live: it was last updated on August 27, 2026 and had over 12,000 players in servers when we checked.

No, and that overlap is why searches get messy. A gakuran is the black stand-collar uniform worn by Japanese male students. This site is about the Roblox experience named after it, listed as (学乱) Gakuran, set in a Japanese town in May 2007.

Open the drawer icon on the left of the screen, choose the Codes tab, type the code, then press Redeem. Three separate outlets add gates to that: you must be in the Gakuran group, IGN and Eurogamer say you need about an hour of playtime first, and Beebom and RadioTimes add a minimum of five friends on the account. Only CQC currently works.

Codes are the free source, and there is currently one working code. Otherwise rerolls are bought in the Stats menu, gifted to you by another player (added in update #19), or bought in bulk once you have purchased the 50x roll bundle more than twice.

Ali, WingChun and CQC, at 0.025% each — they sit in the "???" pool worth 0.075% of all rolls combined. The five Legendaries (Capoeira, Wrestling, Kure, Hakari, Kyoushin Karate) are 0.20% each.

Wrestling if you can roll it: a 15% heavy multiplied to 1.5x by Takedown, with hyperarmor and a 55% grapple clash rate. Of the realistically rollable styles, Boxing at 5% is the strongest because its heavy carries invincibility frames and perfect blocks keep cutting its cooldown. Full reasoning is on the tier list.

Yes. Height sets your damage, health, hitbox size and attack speed off a 100 HP baseline. Taller means more damage, more health, a bigger hitbox and slower swings; shorter means faster swings and cooldowns, a smaller hitbox, less health and less damage. Your roll is centred on the average for your gender and ethnicity.

Yes — the developers keep a public Trello board with the style perks, combat mechanics, phone apps and the full update log. Its codes card is badly out of date though: it still lists GAKURAN, 15REROLLS, 2mil and fixes3 as active, and all four expired long ago.

discord.gg/gakuran is the main server, with a separate support server and a competitive server. New codes are announced in the Discord first, which is why code lists elsewhere lag behind by days.

It runs wherever Roblox does, so mobile and console both work, and the Trello lists controller binds for combat and for the rhythm minigame. One caveat: skateboarding on mobile is bugged — mobile players cannot push, ollie or dismount, and the wiki lists a fix as planned rather than shipped.

A planned faction system. The Trello card for Affiliation says "not implemented" and the Factions card says "NOT AVAILABLE YET", so every gang and crew in the game right now is player-run roleplay with no mechanical backing.
